Louanne Moldovan is the founder and artistic director of Cygnet Productions, a critically- and popularly-acclaimed literary cabaret which presents a variety of entertaining, stimulating works of literature as theatrical performance. She has directed and produced Cygnet’s shows for the past fifteen years. Other directing credits include Civic Theatre Guild and Artists Repertory Theatre as well as for TV and film actors on set. She has also worked as an actor, director, writer and casting director in Los Angeles and Portland.  

I thought perhaps there was a way for a great book to be both seen and heard, not just read--it turned out to be true. All these wonderful pieces of literature were invigorated by their translation to the stage --Louanne Moldovan

In Los Angeles, Louanne worked for 20th Century Fox Films, and was an acting member of the Company of Angels Theatre, and writer and co-leader with the Women's Writing Project at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. She served as an artistic supervisor of the Imagination Workshop, a group of performers working with psychiatric patients to facilitate creative experiences and expression.

Louanne’s greatest passion in life is her divine daughter Alex; theatre is, as Louanne says, “Alex’s capricious sibling.”
